The Java moss used on this product is grown in our own carefully controlled submerged culture tanks which are free from contaminates or unwanted pests (snails etc). Growing our moss in its immersed state allows the moss to get a flying start when it is added to your aquarium, as it does not need to transition between its emersed and immersed state, thus slowing down its growth rate.
